The AHA Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. This certification is NOT for Healthcare Providers. Healthcare Providers need the BLS Provider CPR AED certification course.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.
This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.
Textbook: You must have an AHA student manual for the class you are taking that is up-to-date with the current AHA guidelines being taught. Your student manual is not included in your registration fee. You may purchase additional student manuals from us at the time of your registration.
