The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid teaches participants how to recognize common first aid emergencies, call for help, and respond with lifesaving first aid skills. The course reflects the most up to date science and education from the American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

What does this certification course teach?

Heartsaver First Aid covers essential first aid topics, including:

Who should take Heartsaver First Aid?

The Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs an OSHA-compliant course completion card for CPR AED certification training or anyone who simply wants to be ready to respond in an emergency. This certification is also for Healthcare Providers who want/need a First Aid certification card to complement their AHA BLS Provider card. Healthcare Providers need the Basic Life Support (BLS) certification course.

100% in-classroom training means students are with an AHA Instructor for their entire learning experience. Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a Heartsaver First Aid Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.

Textbook: You must have an AHA Heartsaver Student Workbook or eBook for the class you are taking that is up to date with the current AHA guidelines being taught. Your Heartsaver Student Workbook eBook is not included in your registration fee. You may purchase your AHA Heartsaver Student Workbook eBook from us when you complete your registration.
