The American Heart Association (AHA) has launched a new Public Service Announcement (PSA) video titled “Life of the Party.” The video emphasizes the importance of learning cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to ensure that summer disruptions—like vacations, celebrations, and making memories—are safe and enjoyable.

With over 350,000 sudden cardiac arrests occurring outside hospitals each year, including 23,000 among children, the AHA highlights the critical role of immediate CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use in doubling or tripling survival chances. Unfortunately, less than half of cardiac arrest victims receive bystander assistance before professional help arrives.
